I love Sundays. It’s usually the one day a week we can be sure both Pat and I are home at the same time. (Although this isn’t always true when tutoring sessions pick up.) Recently on a Sunday Ben and Pat sat at the table to ‘work’ together. Yes, in this case work for Pat meant reading the comics while Ben colored and played with stickers. Ben is used to hearing that he is going to do a quiet activity with a grown up while the grown up works at the office, so it made sense to him. And he looked so happy and proud to be sitting at the table like a big boy with his daddy.
Hmmm… if we keep this up, maybe Ben can start helping me work while I do the crossword every week. Good plan. 🙂
