STEM activities for preschoolers and toddlers
If you are looking for fun preschool STEM and toddler STEM projects to do, you are on the right page.
STEM ( Science Technology Engineering Math) and STEAM (add in Art) are hard to avoid hearing about these days. And for good reason. Kids need these learning experiences!
And yes, that means children as young as 2 years old. Younger actually. I started doing STEM when the girls were just a year old.
STEM at this young age isn’t about memorizing facts, and it isn’t about knowing all the right answers. Play is the best way to build STEM experience, confidence, and learning.
Giving children an introduction to these fields when they are little makes them more likely to enter STEM fields when they get older. The overall goal is to tell children that STEM is for them.
Now, I know a lot of parents get a little unsure when it comes to math and science, but trust me, this is no different than any other learning activity. In fact, I think they are easier.
Because in science you aren’t supposed to know the answer. At least not right away. The purpose is to ask questions and create experiments to find the answer.
And with kids this young, the activities can be so simple, as easy as water play.
So here are STEM activities for preschoolers and toddlers that you need to try at home.
